We obtained planning permission for the transformation of an existing 3bed detached property in Stalybridge. A new two-storey front extension was proposed with associated alterations internally and to the existing front and rear elevations, along with changes to the existing driveway and surrounding garden.
Our brief was to design a fully new contemporary internal layout for the existing property over 3 floors with a new modern front and rear elevation to suit. The new layout provides an open plan kitchen/living/dining space opening out to the rear garden with 4 well proportioned new bedrooms at first floor. The new stylish symmetrical front facade increases curb appeal and has set the standard for the redevelopment of other properties along Fern Bank Close in Stalybridge. The full height glazing to the ridge at first floor combined with the long slot window to the central hallway and staircase provide a modern design and maximise the amount of daylight entering the property. The light coloured brick works well with the dark framed aluminium glazing elevating the visual appearance of the street scene. |
