Planning permission granted for the conversion and extension of disused public toilets on the George V playing fields in Uppermill to provide a site sensitive but yet up market ice cream parlour for Grandpa Greene's Luxury Ice Cream.
Design proposals seek to retain the small existing building with the incorporation of a new green roof, and provide an additional single storey glazed retractable canopy extension to provide 44 No. covers. Numerous design iterations were discussed and proposed with the final scheme being accepted by the planning committee and the wider community as a whole. |
