Deansgate Live Music Venue:
Proposed interior design and fit out drawings package for the refurbishment of One Eight Six, Deansgate; a live music basement nightclub in the heart of Manchester. In response to an Art Deco brief the proposed design seeks to merge the energy and vibrancy of performance with the grandeur and opulence of the 1920’s ‘Great Gatsby’ era. The warm indulgent tones of claret and dusky pink set against expensive flashes of veined marble and geometric trims of gold work entice patrons into a subterranean world of elaborate spectacle. The design incorporates glistening mirrors, crystal lighting and plumes of purple and turquoise peacock feathers creating a precious jewel on Manchester main thoroughfare. |
