Planning permission has been obtained for a detached 5 bed dwelling in the garden area of an existing property on Rush Hill Road, Uppermill, Saddleworth. The clients brief was to maximise the potential of the modest site by including a basement within the proposals with a sunken courtyard to allow natural light through to the bedroom and office space.
Overlooking distances, the surrounding land levels, and the access road through to 5 more properties were all design considerations to be addressed. The proposed elevations comprise of a white contemporary render broken up with a vertical dark grey timber cladding system. Internally modern open plan living spaces have been achieved. |
